The man who would later be known as Seijimei Kuroido began as Wayne Hayes, the son of wealthy parents living in the city of Juneau, Alaska. His love and admiration for the unique human/feline hybrid known as the cat-girl came as a child; when he was playing in his personal jungle gym, he spotted a girl watching him curiously. But upon approachin her, she quickly bolted away on all fours. His own curiosity piqued, Wayne gave chase, only to slip on a patch of mud, falling and hitting his head on a rock. Busted open and bleeding profusely, his cries of pain alerted the girl, who ran to his aid. Wayne managed to catch a glimpse of her cat-like ears and tail, remarking how funny they looked, before passing out from pain and the loss of blood.
When he awoke, he found himself in an old and abandoned apartment building, his wound cleaned and dressed. Observing his surroundings, he saw himself in the company of a trio of feline-like females; a mountain lion-like anthropomorph more cat than woman, a more humanoid woman with dark gray fur covering her body, and the child from before, her only feline features being the cat-like ears and tail. The kitten-girl hugged Wayne, apologizing over and over again for his accident, claiming that she only wanted to play. After accepting her heartfelt apology and introducing himself, the kitten-girl introduced herself as Lisa, and called the fur-covered girl and the anthropomorph Michelle and Cheryl, respectively. The elder of the three, Cheryl, apologized to Wayne for any trouble they may have caused, and had asked that he not reveal their location to anyone. Out of gratitude, Wayne agreed, and Lisa was allowed to see him home, though she didn't go as far towards his mansion. Before she left, Lisa hugged him, nuzzling his cheek against his in a sign of affection, and went on her way, but leaving quite the impression on Wayne.
After returning home and receiving medical attention, Wayne kept his word, not divulging any information about the trio of cat-girls. But despite the two older cat-girls' apprehensions, Lisa couldn't stay away from the boy, and the two became fast friends, with Lisa being explained away by Wayne's parents as an imaginary friend. A year later, Cheryl eventually succumbed to old age, passing away in her sleep. With Michelle now Lisa's surrogate guardian, she forbade Lisa from seeing Wayne, for fear of repercussions from humans should they discover the remaining cat-girls' whereabouts, not even allowing her to say goodbye. But Lisa disobeyed Michelle, visiting Wayne late at night, her inexperience causing the burglar alarms to be tripped when she slipped inside his bedroom. Waking him, Lisa told him what had happened with Cheryl dying and Michelle forbidding Lisa to ever see him. But she went to see him anyway, because she realized the truth; she loved the boy. It was at that point when his parents had entered the room, and upon seeing the kitten-girl and her animalistic features, his father was prepared to shoot her. Immediately, Michelle pounced upon the scene, attacking Wayne's father by clawing his face, then went to check on Lisa and Wayne, only to be shot in the back by his mother, who had used the father's gun in his place. As Michelle was killed, Lisa took Wayne by the hand and leapt out the window with him, much to his parents' abject horror.
For two weeks, Lisa and Wayne were on the run from authorities, living on the streets of Juneau and surviving by stealing food and hiding out in abandoned and condemned complexes. Despite the hardships, the two stayed together, and Wayne found that he, too, loved Lisa. Sadly, their life on the run came to an end when the two friends fell victim to an organized sting put together by the boy's parents themselves, and the children were separated from each other, the boy returned safely home while Lisa was sent away, never to be seen again.
Despite their intentions, Wayne never forgot about Lisa, but despite his constant questions about where Lisa went and where she was, his parents either ignored him or changed the subject, which only caused his resentment towards them to grow more and more. Finally, after countless efforts of trying to get answers, his parents had finally revealed that they had Lisa put to sleep, in the hopes that he would finally be silent about the matter. Instead, it made Wayne despise his parents even more, so much so, that upon graduating from high school, he transferred his funds into a new account and disowned himself from his family, moving from Alaska to an estate in the West Hills of Portland, Oregon. He also set aside a generous portion of his account to form a charity to help cat-girls from all walks of life who had fallen on hard times, even allowing some of those cat-girls to live with him in his estate until they could get back on their feet.
Wayne's second passion, other than cat-girls, was professional wrestling. And he held a desire to break into the sport and compete, but he needed to refine his fighting skills first. So, upon striking out on his own, he ventured to Japan to learn the ways of martial arts. Finding a master well-diversed in a variety of martial arts in the disipline of Gendai Budo... which include aikido, judo, and karate... he allowed Wayne to stay at his dojo, provided he worked hard to maintain his new home. He agreed, quickly taking to Gendai Budo with a degree of intensity and willpower that even the master was impressed with. Wayne even adopted a new name for himself, given his self-disowning; he had legally changed his name to Seijimei Kuroido, in honor of his master.
After he had reached the peak of his skills, Seijimei was encouraged by his master to hone his skill through actual combat. And after hearing of the Street Fighter circuit open to any fighters through all walks of life, he jumped into that competitive world, and accompanying him in his travels was a beautiful cat-girl valet named Serra, who was much-adored by everyone, cat-girl and Seijimei alike, in the West Hills estate, and who held a deep crush for the man who had personally rescued her from the slums of New York. But while Seijmei performed well against lower tier fighters, amassing a good winning streak against them, he had some difficulty with the mid-tier fighters, some of which had skills that seemed to be more-than-human. And eventually, his winning streak, and his run in the Street Fighter circuit, came to an end when he was defeated by another newcomer to the circuit; a young man with a ruthless side to him known only as Kobra. The winner proceeded to pound Seijimei more, even after gaining the victory, causing Serra to come out onto the fight pit and getting in-between the two, pleading to Kobra for mercy. But there was none, as Kobra responded to Serra's pleas by ripping the still-beating heart from her chest, killing her.
Seijimei returned home after a night in the hospital, dejected and defeated. News of Serra's murder had hit the cat-girls in his estate hard, and all were in a state of mourning. But Seijimei was hit the hardest, as he cared deeply for all his cat-girls, Serra included. And for a while, Seijimei had lost the will to fight, until he had received a visit from Lieutenant Sonya Blade, a member of the Outer World Investigation Agency. She had heard of Serra's murder at the hands of Kobra, and had offered Seijimei a chance at revenge against the rogue fighter, who had joined the criminal organization known as the Black Dragon. But in order to get to Kobra, he would have to enter the infamous tournament called Mortal Kombat. Encouraged by his cat-irls, who all wanted revenge for Serra's murder, Seijimei steeled his resolve and stepped up his rehabilitation, working to improve his fighting skills even more to prepare himself against Kobra, and anyone else in the tourney he would encounter.
Entering Mortal Kombat, he found that there were no real rules going into a fight, save for one; kill or be killed. Despite this, Seijimei refused to kill anyone, choosing mercy over death. Eventually, he had reached Kobra, who was about to slay his fellow Black Draon member, Kira. Not wanting to see another woman murdered by him, Seijimei saved Kira's life and fought Kobra in a fierce climatic battle, He had barely defeated Kobra, but when given the option to finish him, once more Seijimei refused to kill even him, choosing not to sink to Kobra's level. Instead, he knocked him unconscious, leaving him to whatever mercy Kira would have towards Kobra. Before Seijimei took his leave, Kira thanked him with a deep kiss on his lips, then told him to leave before she would kill him herself.
Returning to the States, Seijimei focused on the sport of professional wrestling, helping to form the EAW, becoming one of the wrestling organization's chief bookers. And on the side, he began to refine his skills, melding wrestling skills with his existing martial arts expertise. Just a few years into being a booker, Seijimei quit the lofty position and announced his debut as a full-time professional wrestler. However, his goals were waylaid by Booker Waters, who had claimed that Seijimei had no place being a wrestler and, quote, "would be the worst thing to step into the ring since the 'Great' Khali." From there, Waters had tried everything to delay Seijimei's debut, from paying Seijimei's would-be-opponents from walking out of matches all the way up to staging a kidnapping of one of "The Black Widow" Oseiko's students to keep her from competing against Seijimei. Despite Waters' devious ends, Seijimei has shown phenomenal skill and perseverance, and eventually had proven him and all the other critics wrong when he defeated "The Blue Tygress" Trish Stratus to win the EAW Triple Crown Title, and most recently, won the first ever War Games in the EAW during Aggression 2K7, causing then rival Brock Lesnar to tap out to a rear naked choke, barely beating out Kurt Angle in the submission win; Angle had Seijimei's partner, "Code Red" Michael A. Connelly in the Olympic Rings.
Seijimei continues to be a staunch supporter of cat-girls, and recently, the Kuroido Home for the Wayward has now began to take in all victimized women who've fallen on hard times, not just cat-girls, using his fortune to keep the non-profit organization going and even going so far as to take a physical role in protecting those who're unable to protect themselves. And while some of his wards have admitted to crushes on him, Seijimei assures that he keeps the relationships he has with them, both cat-girl and human girl, platonic.
